Signing of the Memorandum of Cooperation: New horizons for hemp growing in Ukraine.

June 25 was one of the landmark moments for Ukrainian hemp growing – the signing of the Memorandum on Cooperation between ARLCU, the International Agricultural Cluster “Dniester”, the Department of Agro-Industrial Development of the Vinnytsia Regional State Administration and the Department of International Cooperation and Regional Development of the Vinnytsia Regional Development Authority.

This event brought together the efforts of several leading organizations seeking to elevate an industry with deep historical roots to the next level. This Memorandum is a manifesto of partnership and cooperation aimed at the promotion and development of hemp growing in Ukraine. The parties agreed to cooperate in many important areas, from public diplomacy to economics and ecology, including humanitarian aid and social protection.

Hemp farming is more than just agriculture. This is the history of our country, these are traditions that are passed down from generation to generation. Once upon a time, this culture was common in Ukrainian fields, where hemp was used to make fabrics, ropes, and other everyday items. Today, hemp is returning to our fields with a new meaning, as a symbol of ecologically clean and economically profitable production.

Ukraine has all the prerequisites for the successful development of this industry: a favorable climate, fertile soils and strong scientific potential. Growing hemp can become a key element of a sustainable development strategy, because this crop is not only environmentally friendly, but also economically profitable.

The signing of this Memorandum opens new horizons for hemp growing in Ukraine. The joint efforts of the authorities, public organizations and business create unique opportunities for attracting investors, introducing new technologies and entering international markets. This agreement symbolizes a new stage in the development of the industry, opening wide prospects for socio-economic development and international cooperation.
